Quick Review:

Concert was very good, all the acts delivered, sometimes better than expected to be honest. The sound was just alright, it was loud, but not very clear or tuned for the microphones vs. the music so at times the singer would be too low or too high in relation to the music. At times it also sounded like the power was not sufficient.

My Hat goes off to the Cover girls who really laid it down and they looked like they did almost 20 years ago !!

George Lamond was excellent and has an amazing voice. Sounded like a studio performance even though it was live (he absolutely did NOT lip sync).

Shannon was great, fit and energetic, sounded great as well. Her background dancers were not suited to the task and didn't look familiar with the era or the dance moves that went with her songs...lose the background dancers and get some real B Boys aight?

Black Sheep - don't sing new songs or ones no one knows at a freestyle concert, I was dying for them to just sing the Choice is yours by the time it was all said and done, the DJ did not play the background music loud enough and Dres ended up drowning out the music with the vocals

BizMarkie - Very good on stage, well received by everyone and rocked the place in general

Rob Base - Hands down entertainer of the night, It takes Two was amazing and had the entire place rockin'. I forgot how amazing that classic is in terms of sheer power to move the crowd. He killed it.

TKA - consummate entertainers, they sure delivered and the crowd responded very well to them. They were the complete package, presentation, choreography, vocals they did their thing.

Noel - I finally know what the guy who sings "Silent Morning" looks like. He sounded just like the original song (no lip sync either).

Stevie B - Wow, wow, wow - Stevie B, what can I say. Perfect show closing performance, the night was complete after Stevie sang "Spring Love". Stevie's still got that voice and it was the most distinct of the night, not to take away any credit from anyone else, but this was a recurring theme, these freestyle singers all had some powerful and clear voices....

By the way the DJ Lucho (I hope I got that right) filled in the gaps well in terms of all the other acts that were not there to perform with little interludes to keep the crowd into it..

"Take You Home"

"Summertime, Summertime"

I had a lot of fun, thanks to wifey for taking me to the show.

We anticipate that the complete was just alright, it was loud, but not actual bright or acquainted for the microphones vs. the music so at times the accompanist would be too low or too top in affiliation to the music.
